We named Lokmanya High School after the famous freedom figher and social reformer Bal Gangadhar Tilak.He was fondly called Lokmanya by the people of India.Tilak knew that the greatest weapon a generation possesses is basic education.Main aim of these extraordinary patriots was not just to teach the young minds of India but to teach and educate the adults and spread awareness to free our beloved country from the clutches of foreign rulers.On 1st August 1920, Tilak breathed his last but his words- "Freedom is my birth-right and I shall have it" continues to inspire the people of this great nation of ours.
